A friend of mine is in the gym opposite and apparently they keep bringing hostages to the door with a gun to their head before going back inside.

Its currently on Sky and BBC news. They have just spoken to the manager of the bowling club. It's 2 of his staff that are being held hostage or so he believes. Can hear the helicopters circling.

My son has just told me he was going to take his 6 year old daughter to the Soft Play area at Bermuda Park. Luckily she didn't want to go....

Now confirmed. Hostages released and an arrest has been made...No injuries thank god...

I really despair. What possesses some people to think they will get any demands met by holding hostages with a gun. What a world in which to bring up our children.
