Something not right about this going off the eye witnesses' reports.

@Toby An eyewitness said they were going too fast and via a part of the bridge where the barrier was coming down.
I found that distasteful they printed this in the initial report if honest. Four young lives were tragically lost driving in a strange country. I doubt their parents needed to read any suppositions of this nature (at this point)

The vehicle they were in overtook a line of stationary traffic, clipping the side mirror of one. Maybe it was just a case of not knowing the road or the driver being distracted but witnesses say they were travelling at 40-50 mph.
Some articles show pictures of the band drinking after the gig but report the manager wasn't seen drinking so hopefully he was driving.

Yes it was on the news yesterday. Sadly poignant because these kids, since their death, have 'headlined' Glastonbury (via Coldplay) who sang their most famous song whilst playing a video of Viola Beach on a massive screen...and now they have a number one album...

I expect they would have played Glastonbury...though not headlined for a few years....

Very probably not but it's the same when any artist leaves us prematurely.

Lovely to hear. It must be a a very fitting tribute for all of their family and loved-ones.
