Hey everyone,
Virtual Reality or VR is becoming more commonplace with the release of several major VR headsets scheduled for this year and add ons for mobiles already available. The majority of uses so far have been for entertainment and gaming however there are some fantastic real world applications for VR.
One of the main applications in healthcare has been training with students able to watch operations being performed from the Surgeon view point. Another interesting development has been in treating phobias with VR.
VR is also being used in classrooms to help students learn other languages by allowing them to watch people having conversations in an interactive environment.
What are peoples thoughts on VR in the real world? Just another passing fad or do you think it has potential?
Are there any other areas you think VR could be applied in the real world?
