Anyone with half an ounce of sense would/should know that the one place to keep the hell away from right now is Sri Lanka.
The UK, I presume they mean, would be the overpaid think-tank in the Foreign Office.

I know they have to give these so called official warnings, but as all travel companies are cancelling holidays there, it's a bit obvious.
Watching all the burials today. Heartbreaking.

Understatement of the century!
No one in their right mind is going to travel to Sri Lanka unless it's absolutely necessary. It doesn't really need the FCO to underscore it, though if they didn't some fool would slate them for that. So they're on a lose-lose situation whatever they do.
And I also saw the burials @Cleoriff and it was gut-wrenching. I didn't know anyone affected and still I cried
