If like me you keep your router in a cupboard or under the stairs and you've noticed it's running a bit hotter than normal then pick up a cheap USB fan, plug it into one of the USB ports on the router and direct it at the air vents.
You'll be suprised how well it works.

Now that's a cool idea!

Hmmm, if you have usb ports on your router that is.....but remember to keep circulation going in restricted spaces where you have router to prevent overheating.
If you don't have a usb port, then you can get a DC power splitter and a step down USB cable to run it on 5v. Check your router PSU for voltage though as you need to be careful for 12v or 9v to bring it down to 5v for USB.
For the slightly more adventurous and have some odd DC voltage PSU lying around idle, stick "usb buck converter" into ebay.

I should have been more patient. Had a problem with My 8GB laptop renewing Office. Microsoft took it over (I think the guy was an apprentice) and messed it up completely. Had the nerve to say we should contact HP for information. We did get a free one year Office Subscription out of it though
I chucked my toys out of the pram and told hubby I wanted a new one. He got me one the next day it was 4gb.
Set it all up and I knew it wasn't as fast as my old one.
Worse thing was, he did a master reset on my old one and it's now working perfectly.
So I may just swap back......
