Hi all to all the Thursday Quizzers.

 

The Thursday Quiz is open to all members of the Community, so whether you are one of the regulars, a member who has not entered a previous Thursday Quiz, or one of our new members, you are all welcome to come and join in.

 

This Thursday Quiz - for 4 April - will be three questions on characters.

The Quiz will be posted around 10pm tonight - Wed 3 April - and be open until 12 noon Friday 5 April.

Entries can be submitted to this week`s Thursday Quiz from when it is opened.

Hope as many as possible will join us.

If you have questions about the Thursday Quiz, please ask and I`ll post an answer slight_smile

A1 - In the book, "his [the monster`s] yellow skin scarcely covered the work of muscles..."

        Posters for the Universal Studios film, starring Boris Karloff, showed the monster with green skin

 

A2 - In the book, published in 1900, Dorothy`s shoes were silver. In the MGM film in 1939 they were red to show in technicolor.

 

A3 - Ratty was a water vole - known, colloqually as a "water rat" in Cookham Dean on the River Thames, which Grahame visited to see his grandmother and saw water voles, and used that term in his book.

History; Geography; Inventions

 

If that's the case, I will have to go for the one I have 'slightly' more knowledge about ie HISTORY.

I am only good at 'medical inventions joy

It's History for me too @Mi-Amigo. Of the 3 subjects it''s the one I have the most knowledge of. Though Geography could be good, depending on where in the world the question falls. If it's the US, despite being an American, my knowledge is sketchy at best joy

 

Inventions, I'm hopeless on.
