Although Thursday is almost over, everyone still has a chance to have a go - the quiz does not close until

12 noon tomorrow - Fri 1 March 2019...

Why not have a guess?

OK all you good folks, the answers:

@Glory1guessed "swift" - sorry *klaxon*

@MI5and @MI5 guessed "wren" - sorry *klaxon*

@Cleoriffguessed [or knew] "goldcrest" - correct = trophy

@jonsiealso knew the answer, so I`m gonna be generous and give @jonsietrophy

The goldcrest is the smallest British bird. The firecrest is the second smallest. The wren is third smallest.

The next Thursday Quiz will be on Thursday 7 March

Everyone, whether you have entered before or not, can choose the subject:

The new quiz, which will be on a new thread, will be a PICTURE QUIZ.

I have already selected a question on a picture of

Well-known Painting; Well-known Statue; Famous Person

Who would you like the question to be on? Post your choice on here. The subject with most "votes" will be chosen. You have until 11.59pm on Wednesday 6 March to choose.

Thank you

Thanks everyone who has voted for the subject for next Thursday Quiz.

Entries are still open until 11.59pm tomorrow (Wed).

At the moment, its a draw between two choices - person or statue.

If it remains a draw, then the decision will be made by a toss of a coin (by me, @Mi-Amigo ), the other choice will, in fairness, be the subject of the Thursday Quiz in two weeks time.
