As part of the #o2surprise that I received last week, there was a jar of smiles. Many were keen to see what would come out of the jar each day, so here are the ones so far!

The one that I picked out on Friday was "If you want to see the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain".

This morning I picked out "Relax and reflect. A bad day doesn't mean it's a bad life".

@Oxonian

How about you posting some of your 'thoughts' for us to comment on?

Seems a bit one sided at the moment. 🤔

Bob Dylan. A brilliant poet. He also said this:

Bob Dylan is absolutely brilliant

I still have all his early stuff on vinyl and some of his lyrics about the Vietnam War, the US forces and the Civil Rights Movement upset Congress and politicians.

Some of his stuff from 1964 to 1968 were very poignant and described the futility of war and the terrible injustice of the treatment of US Veterans and the stigma of being Black in, at the time, a White America (in that sense I think little has changed!)

He was a true rebel @jonsie

Disliked by the US Congress for years. Apparently for making people think they shouldn't be drafted to fight wars they didn't believe in!!

Nice to see the Dylan Revival Society out in force 👌

I think he had a character named after him in The Magic Roundabout too.
