The PM we really need at the moment sadly isn't in the race.....at least yet.

I'm talking about Phillip 'spreadsheet Phil' Hammond, the current Chancellor.

Sure, he has the charisma of a bank note but whatever happens over the next few months, we are probably best off with someone who has an idea what the state of the public finances are and what is (and isn't) possible with what's in the country's accounts.
