Theresa May has just announced that she will stand down as PM on June 7th.
It's on rolling BBC News.

Well I can't say I'm sorry to see her go, and think she should have resigned weeks ago. She doesn't have the backing of her Cabinet, never mind the back benchers, and the Conservatives are a joke with all the back stabbing going on. It's a toss up who are the bigger joke between them and Labour.
The thought of Boris, the bufoon, as PM puts shivers down my spine @viridis. Better the Downing Street cat than him. But who else with any brains, and the backing of his/her party do they have? And does this mean a General Election, or is someone just going to step in and take her place unelected?
God, what a mess and makes us an even bigger laughing stock in the world then we already are, if that's possible. And Brexit? What's going to happen about that? Personally, nothing I hope but millions will be up in arms about that if it stalls even more.
What a bloody mess this country's in

If you watched her speech, whether you like, hate or are indifferent to her, you couldn't help being moved when she broke down at the end.
All the backstabbing comments are coming in over the news from other politicians.....though there are some good messages
Jeremy Corbyn (my god), wasted no time in sticking the knife in.
All these scrabbling politicians thinking good job, now vote for me. God help this country.!!

Eamon Holmes described her as 'the worst prime minister ever'.

Yes he did and as he was hosting This Morning, a day time show, he should have kept that comment to himself in my opinion.
Eamonn has this ability to coveniently mix up his newreader roles with other jobs he does.
I thought he was very embarrassing and so did plenty of others.

Yes, his personal opinion should not have aired and I hope he is suitably admonished.
