Some CEX handsets do end up being locked by the networks after a few weeks due to insurance frauds etc.

However i hear they are very prompt in replacing them.

I know it is very much down to personal choice and circumstances. I would always want a new phone.

However, if I wasn't in a position to buy one....then I would purchase from someone I could trust.

I've been fortunate not to have this happen to any of the phones I've purchased from them ,but did witness a customer with that issue.

They basically took another out of the display cabinet ,and replaced it without any fuss.

I believe they then chase the member.

I agree : they do offer two sell to them prices.

A cash amount.

Or a Trade In amount which is higher so you use that traded in amount to buy something else in the store.

It also depends on what condition the item is in and if it comes with all the accessories and original box.

CEX serves a purpose for those wanting a smartphone cheaper (?) or as a replacement for a lost phone but I must be honest, it's new or nothing for me for something as personal as a phone. In the same way I would always buy new for cameras, watches, PC or any other gadgets, the only exception being a car.

I totally understand Jonsie and if disposable income is not an issue then fantastic.

For others CEX and other outlets provide another avenue. slight_smile
