Unforunately they're the sealed type (fed direct from the leccy) . I do recall seeing the back up battery flying across the road tho.

Perhaps he should've checked the fusebox to make sure the electricity circuit supplying the detectors hadn't tripped... Those ones die silently, if ours was anything to go by (except the one they put upstairs that used to go off as you emerged from a nice hot shower - a billow of steam was not detector-friendly 🤣💥).

TBF @pgn i didn't know who was sponsoring the tournament until this happened, so it has had the opposite effect on me. And i did go out & buy a can. Bit pricey since the last time i bought one (can't remember when that was) but if it annoys Ronaldo then it has to be worth it.
