I have two bulging discs touching the nerve which is giving me the pain all down my leg. Five months of painkillers have played havoc with my stomach and oesophagus. She's sending me some different sitting, lying and standing positions to try until she hears back from the neuro team at Preston.

Ouch. Not great but at least it sounds as though they are trying something different to help.
Fingers crossed you get some relief with the exercises/positions (doesn't sound too dodgy!) and the external situation means they can do something sooner...
