Keep drinking water @RunrigForever. If you have an ice cube dept in freezer, keep that full.
My tea is de-caffeinated as well. Stops me getting shaky.
Remember though, hot drinks can help cool you down by triggering your body's natural cooling mechanism – sweating. When you drink a hot drink, your body temperature rises slightly, prompting increased sweating. The evaporation of this sweat then cools your skin, potentially leading to a net decrease in body temperature. However, this effect is most pronounced in dry heat conditions, where sweat can evaporate effectively.
Having said all that, people generally prefer to drink cold fluids during this type of heat. 😎

Thank you @Cleoriff for explaining why a hot drink can cool you down
& drinking de-caff can stop a person shaking
I did try decaff Yorkshire Tea, can't say I liked it ..... my associate specialist, as he called himself then said it would do what you say ..... but ..... I thought then why do I want to reduce the effects of my necessary tablets.
I did live in the UAE for a year when my lad was 3 & drank PG Tips tea - leaf tea ....... men at the beach drank Fosters or XXXX, the women had a large mechanical pump operated flask of hot water or maybe tea made up to their liking. I can't remember what sort of milk there was in Sharjah ....... lots of goods came from USA & China.
Back on Topic: I'll try decaff again asap
Random Fact : Say 1986/7 I could tell Fosters from XXXX - blind tasted for the now x-husband ....... preferred XXXX

I was advised by my consultant (after surgery) to try decaf. Better for the kidneys apparently.
I don't think he realised I like 2 teabags in a cuppa (with 3 sweeteners) 😂

You have made me lol with your post above
Used to like lemon tea which came in a jar
Never liked green tea when in the Emirates
Will have a look around. Maybe Twinnings do a decaff. Like their fruit and herbal teas, But nothing like a good old cuppa Yorkshire Tea.

The best decaf teabags (in my opinion) are PG Tips. Ray has normal teabags but never notices if I make his cuppa with one of mine. 😂

Yes, if you are wearing them due oedema (Swelling of ankles and lower legs) they are called compression stockings.
It's important to look after your skin when you remove them at night.
To effectively care for your skin while wearing compression stockings, it's crucial to keep the skin moisturised, especially at night using a mild non perfumed moisturiser. Ensure the skin is completely dry before applying the stockings in the morning, as moisture can damage the fabric and reduce its effectiveness. Regularly inspect your skin for any signs of irritation or breakdown, and seek professional advice if you experience any issues.
* The moisturising helps to hydrate the skin and prevent dryness, which can be exacerbated by the compression.
They tried me with these but due to various factors, they didn't help with the swelling at all.
Normally though, they work well for those who have natural oedema.
PS You do need more than 1 pair of stockings as they should be washed every few days. So the 2nd pair will be used when the others are being hand washed and left to dry properly.
