The Spanish Plume (Weather)

Just for a bit of fun I thought I would bring some good news.

According to this report, the UK is about to see a weather phenomenon called the Spanish Plume which will bring temperatures up to 30c here. Warm air from Africa is pushed up from the Iberian peninsula towards the UK

Piers Corbyn, forecaster for WeatherAction, said "from Wednesday onwards we are now looking at a period of very warm and at times hot and dry weather with the possibility of heatwave conditions building.

I have highlighted Wednesday ...as that's the day I fly to Spain

So whilst you lot are 'basking in a heatwave'......I will probably get the 'Rain in Spain falling mainly on the Plain'...

Well she is now....after having a hissy fit when I landed in Spain. Refused to find a network even when I manually selected Movistar. It was as if she said 'Who? Nope....not Movistar, I don't know it therefore I am 'aving none of it'....Was still showing No Network until O2 text kicked in informing me of O2 Travel....

Has been a good girl since then....

Probably right....Must admit when they opened the door of that plane I felt the same...for an instant. Today cloudy and humid. I feel we may be getting rain

You lot in the UK better get out the barbeques and put the beer on ice. Next week you are going to have a heatwave (for a few days anyway) If you want to get specific about it, in the Midlands....Tuesday will be your best day. It seems to go downhill after then

Actually the BBC weather forecaster is making a real joke of it...Sort of hey look here comes summer....for 3 days.

Surprised it reaches that temp in Bolton though @jonsie...he was saying it would mainly be swathing across south to east....and passing the Midlands en-route but further North would be cooler with rain. Maybe not worth the risk then mate?

I've never trusted long range forecasts to be honest, they even get the next day wrong much of the time

My lad has just told me it's freezing and if it's meant to reach 22c today he would like to know when? So yes.....
