The maddest show on TV returns on Sat 01 Jan 2022!!

Yes, the Masked Singer is back on ITV for the third series tonight at 7pm, with second show tomorrow.

The show features 12 celebrities in disguise and a panel [and we the viewers] tries to work out  from the performances and clues who is behind the mask.

This year`s Masked Singers are:

Mushroom

Firework

Snow Leopard

Robobunny

Comedian and presenter, Joel Dommett is back as host of the show.

The panel for series 3, returning to judge, are Jonathan Ross; Rita Ora, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan.

I`ll be watching. Will previous Masked Singer viewers, inc @Cleoriff  @gmarkj  @sheepdog , and anyone else be watching ???

I think the costumes are better than ever.

Really looking forward to it. Doubt we will have a reveal tonight. Don't they usually wait until all have sung?

Definitely be there at 7pm! I mean the competition is the last 15 mins of Crystal Palace v Watford or the painful Doctor Who New Year special with worse costumes and acting. A bit surprised at Rita Ora coming back after her indiscretions but lets hope the guest judges make another appearance as well.

What a great start to this years show!

Costumes are better than ever.

Usual  routine...two v each other in a sing off. (Has anyone got a list of songs as I'm just guessing here. Knew them all except the last one)

First couple were...

Mushroom v Robobunny

Mushroom. Sang Quiet by Bjork. Although people thought it was female and I ignore the judges as they guess stupid names I kept thinking it was Judge Rob Rinder (well there was a gavel) Also a put on accent

moving between North and Irish

RoboBunny. Sang Saving All my Love -Whitney Houston.

Really weird. Started singing as a male then went into a female singing voice. Can't list clues but I thought it was Tom Daley.

Robobunny won that round

Doughnut v Chandelier.

Doughnut. Eye of the Tiger ..Foreigner. Not a singer, Clues, jockey, football, dancer? Michael Owen?

Chandelier. Sang Crazy by Patsy Kline. Good voice but being 'masked' I thought. Judges guessed Jane McDonald, Debbie McGee, Rachel Riley or Elaine Paige (as if!)

Winner Doughnut (Wasn't my winner!!)

Lionfish v Firework.

Lionfish (very bravely) sang Nessun Dorma. Quite a good voice but no idea who it could be? Someone tweeted James Blunt (lol)

Firework (Was the song Domino? We have to guess so no idea, not my era 😂) Clues.. Pocket rocket, Fashion

Mel C was a name which cropped up a lot. I thought it may have been AJ Odudu from SCD.

Winner Lionfish.

So the unmasking is between Mushroom, Chandelier and Firework.

I didn't think we would unmask tonight either!!

Firework and Mushroom saved.

Just checking. Domino which was the song from Chandelier. Apparently It's by Jessie J.

Unless we can find an official song list for this series, I won't keep guessing.

I did double check and Spotify put out a full song list for the last series but it was after the show had finished, which isn't much good to anyone. 😂

Didn't watch the show, but the costumes above made me smile.

Bagpipes too close to Bagpuss, and looks like what you might get if you crossed a Womble with a Clanger 🤣

Great start to the series. Love the outfits. Performances were entertaining.

I`m gonna make a mad guess at a couple of the celebrities - Donuts is a footballer, possibly David Seaman, and Firework might be Fleur East ??
