It shows what Dickson claims is the iPhone 6’s sapphire screen being bent out of shape. Why? It’s to show that the new material can withstand the same kind of stress as the current-generation Corning Gorilla Glass iPhone screen."

My thoughts:
Lots of rumours about what Apple are going to do with their next release of the iPhone, which can hold elements of truth in them. If this comes to fruition then WoW - well as long as price isn't silly.

Well as you know they already use it on some camera lenses and designer watches (time pieces). There was one particular watch I was looking at which uses Sapphire Crystal for the face glass.

The strength of this in a such a compact unit is still to be determined whether it can handle he drunken weekends of yon youth.
