My thoughts :
How technology has changed things ! In my day I kept an eye on my children , took an interest where they were ,and they knew when to be back home.
That said anything to maintain safe and well being of a child should only be a good thing.
But unfortunately even a child is not immune to being mugged for technology ,or find way around parents checking on where they are by leaving said technology say at a friends, and go out.
It reminds me of the 'tagging' system the legal system does to an offender out on licence.
