Taurid Meteor Shower (& 2 others)

Anonymous
Not applicable

November is a great month for any sky watchers. Bonfire night is the peak of the Taurid Meteor Shower and later in the month are 2 more to enjoy (possibly)

Living in town I won't be in a prime position to see them but I'll still be looking out!

Will you?

The cloud cover will probably be too heavy @Anonymous
I did spend some time this year trying to view new moons, we had some really great photos provided by members, I tried photos but could only get a bright dot in the sky!☹

I used to live out in the sticks and got to see all these worldly wonders but these days I miss most of them.
Thing is with the Taurids, sometimes they produce (and I have seen) massive fireballs.. well worth a look (if you can)

Thanks for posting @Anonymous! I'm a fan of all things space and astronomy so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for some clear sky's this week. The view from my garden is not too bad as I'm away from the town centre and on a good night I can see quite a few stars. Nothing like living out in the country side though.

Just after midnight the cloud disappeared. I did hang out on the street for a while & saw a few lights! I left the phone recording but being a 4 year old Apple.. they only thing it picked up was my voice!!
