I have heard many stories about Ryanair...but this one is priceless wink

A father paid for 2 flights to Ibiza for this daughter and her boyfriend, Sadly he put the wrong surname for the lad on the ticket.  When the boyfriend rang Ryanair to change his name, he was told the cost would be £220

So.... he was having none of that. He changed his name for free by deed poll .....and got a new passport (£103) He said it was his way of 'sticking it to Ryanair' ...Happy Dance

I had to re-read it... to check it was true

How could a dad not know his sons name....let me think about that one....

Wonder if he knows his own name? Strange, no sorry back to the beer....

Too much beer already I think @jonsie LOL

It wasn't his dad at all. The article said 'A father bought tickets for his daughter and her boyfriend'..... the dad knew the lad was called Adam and presumed (because his name on FB was Adam West), that his surname was really West. it wasn't.......it was Armstrong......Whistle

And actually it isn't too hard to imagine. My own dear dad who seemed to dislike all my boyfriends with a passion .....gave them all surnames that I couldn't possibly repeat on here LOL

I read it would have actually been free to amend the name as it's the same person but if they'd wanted to take someone one different then that's where the charges would have come in. If I find the link I'll post it
