Welcome to the THURSDAY QUIZ for 23 MAY 2019
This week`s Thursday Quiz has three very different questions:
Q1. What species of bird is most often seen in Trafalgar Square, London?
Q2. Where was the cuckoo clock invented?
Q3. This picture of the horizon also shows what?
RULES:
No googling, wiki, social media, website seaches for the answers.
Please answer all three questions in the same post as - Q1 = [answer]; Q2 = [answer]; Q3 = [answer].
If you do not know the answer to any question, please say Q? = [don`t know].
You may submit a second set of answers, but only after another member has posted their first answers.
You may submit the same answer or answers as another player, but most state, "I agree with xxxx, and my answer to Q... is..."
Everyone is welcome to enter.
The Thursday Quiz will open at 9pm tonight [Wed 22 May] when you may submit your first set of answers and this Thursday Quiz will remain open until 12 noon Friday 24 May.
Answers will be given after 1pm on Friday 24 May.
Incorrect answers will be given the * klaxon *; correct answers will be awarded ; with credit for interesting facts.
The most amusing answer[s] will be awarded a special award

CORRECT ANSWERS:
A1 rock doves. First described by Gmelin in 1789 in his edition of Linne`s Systema Naturae, in Leipzig.
RSPB recognises differences between pigeons and rock doves.

I should have pointed out that @viridis not only won on his go at the Thursday Quiz, but was up against the most members to take part in the quiz and was up against @Cleoriff who has, so far, won the most Thursday Quizzes.
