It's that time of year again....Some love it and others hate it.... Dance

However, BBC have announced the first 'celebrity' to join the line up for Strictly Come Dancing 2017.

It's Mollie King from the girl band The Saturdays (Frankie Bridge from the same group appeared in 2014)

Don't watch Emmerdale so she's not an actor I know. So far the only contestant I know well is Ruth Langsford. Curious to see who the others will be.

I'll check the SCD website tomorrow morning to see if the name is given after 09:30 as I don't listen to Chris Evans either not a fan at all. Have to be up early for a Waitrose.com delivery so it'll pass the time while I wait.

Great @Glory1. This will be a long thread with them drip feeding contestants names on a daily basis. First time they have done it this way.... LOL

Please change it. Sorry I'm one of those pedantic people who likes things as they should be ☹️

It should be Vodafone LOL

@blissgirlI think @jonsie means Vodafone in your signature....:smileywink:

Also...though I do hope they have a comedy act as good as Ed....I don't like it much when the public vote for them to stay and much better dancers get voted off. That's me being pedantic...LOL

Well if memory serves me @Cleoriff we got a preview of all the dancers over 2 nights (Friday and Saturday) the first week of September - women one night and men the other night. Then they have 3 weeks to practice before the actual start of the show end-September. Of course, they could change that as well this year.

I must admit I'm also interested to see how the new head judge compares to Len Goodman. Personally I don't think anyone can take Len's place but I hope to be proved wrong.

And @blissgirl I'm pretty sure there'll be another 'Ed Balls'. There seems to always be one to amuse the audience rather than amaze with their dance ability 🤣

I'm with @Cleoriff re the 'comedy act' being voted for and a better dancer getting voted off. I admit I liked Ed Balls. He was funny and showed a human side not seen when he was in Parliament. But better dancers left the show week-on-week while he stayed in. Yes he was entertaining but he couldn't dance and it is meant to be a dance contest. So guess I'm pedantic too.
