Hi, I've been trying to speak to a customer service, but due to the virus pandemic, it's had me going in ever decreasing circles...

I bought a phone from a store last year when the Black Friday event was on, it was for a Sony Xperia 1 which I paid for outright, I was told because I had paid the phone off there was no need for a contract.

I might add that I use a sim from GiffGaff on payg for calls etc, etc.

However 2 months later I got a letter through from O2 demanding 2 months payment, I immediately rang up and got through to a rep, whose advice was to ignore the letter as it should not have been sent out.

But a month later, I now have another demand for payment of the bill and if no payment was made I have 7 days until my device is blocked...

Can a customer service please contact me to try and sort this out, thanks.

No one from o2 will see your message @Aranadin as this is a customer community.
You will need to keep trying to call customer services to resolve your issue.
Did you cancel the air time part of the contract when you paid for the phone? If not, then this would be why they are chasing you for payment.

Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).

I did cancel the airtime part whilst in the shop, I'm stuck trying to contact them, I keep getting pushed onto a dead end when ringing them. Does anyone have a number to ring so that I can actually speak to a human?

@Aranadin Trying to get through to customer service at this time of day, considering the current circumstances everyone is in, will most likely entail a long wait on hold. The best time to try to get through is 8-8.30 am.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
