Baron Rogers of Riverside was known for his modernist approach to architecture. He has designed
many iconic buildings & has several groups of letters after his name.
As per BBC Radio Four's programme 'The last Word' aired last Sunday.
(This is not a 'flat' radio programme.)
When on a car journey with his mother he was told not to design grey / concrete buildings = he didn't. Just one example The Lloyds Building in London, with all the pipes and lifts on the outside.
Perhaps @Martin-O2, Lewys-gp, RafaC could post a blue link to elaborate this post.

@jonsie when travelling up to Tyne & Wear with my son to look at his home I spotted what looked like a modern prison = Alex told me it was an Amazon warehouse. Later Emma quipped the employees may feel like they are working in one. Architecture affects us all, from the first home we have.
