I was born in the 50s & grew up in the 60s & as regards music it was brilliant Fantastic ... Remember a Saturday tv programme called Thank Your Lucky Stars fronted by Brian Matthew(s) ... all the above mentioned music people would have been on that live tv programme & eg Brian Poole & the Tremeloes ... 60s = best era for music ever Bouncy

Yes my musical indoctrination was the 60s and the days of Pirate stations like Luxembourg with its fading in and fading out (Sunday night waiting for the chart run down under the covers so your parents couldn't hear) and Radio Caroline which was a revolution before Radio One was launched by Tony Blackburn with Flowers in the Rain by the Move....later to become Wizard and I wish it could be Christmas every Day.....halcyon days for sure.

The 60s.....My Generation and the Who still going strong 50 years on.

Today's generation have a lot to thank us for and they missed out on the birth of pop music.

Put Peter Sarstedt's song = Where Do You Go To My Lovely on the town's WMC jukebox today ... & ... it sounded as lyrical & sweet as it did all those years ago ... Frozen Orange Juice is also on there ... lots of people singing along to the song including me, of course ... RIP Peter slight_frown
