I seem to be the harbinger of bad news today...

Shirley Stelfox, a much loved actress, died yesterday aged 74

She starred in many West End productions and TV shows. Probably best known more recently for her role as Edna Birch in Emmerdale

She was such an integral part of Emmerdale when she was there and great in the character! RIP.

Oh heck, roll on January 1st. RIP Edna even though I hated the character she portrayed. Maybe that was the idea and if so, she succeeded. God bless Shirley.
