Yesterday (May 22nd) was Sherlock Holmes Day.

So I was absolutely delighted to find out Benedict Cumberbatch as Shelock will be back.

Not a series, not an episode but a 'new adventure'

Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat the writers, have stated.....:

An “intercepted transmission” between Whitehall grandee Mycroft Holmes and his consulting detective brother Sherlock hints that the British government is considering enlisting the help of members of the public in a mysterious project.

How this will happen and when, I have no idea...tongue_winking

I don't care. If he is back, I am more than excited  *The Game Is On* (as per my signature) Bouncy

How TV really works, part 221b

Increasingly successful and much in demand thesp & producer Martin Freeman has outgrown, outshone and moved on from playing Cumbie's sidekick. The Fandom shipping, Moffats autocratism, BBC pay restrictions and UK Press's exigent readership pandering are putting the tin hat on it.

'Not in any foreseeable future' say his management company.

'I know' says Little Miss Gatfat, 'let's do an online interactive thingie, that will focus on the Mycroft/Sherlock Ship, engage the fandom, mollify the press and leave that ungrateful little **** behind'.

~ All giggle mischievously ~

'Do you remember when he played a naked stand in for Curtis?'~ a toady squeeks.

~ The room goes quiet, a deathly hush :

The Boat That Rocked, the Abba Sequel, the crashing and burning of a once illustrious creative career...

'This better work Gatis snarls Moffat.

I'm sure the Firefly & Dead Like Me fans felt exactly the same way.

Loved Sherlock and some of us are big fans. It's much better than some of the C-rap that doesn't come close to being entertaining. No doubt there are programmes you love to watch @Anonymous that we would find tedious and boring which you will think above the intellect of us mere mortals.
I have you down as a cookery and virtual reality programmes type of guy. Please do enlighten us 😉
I, for one, am looking forward to anything 'Sherlock' but then again, I loved the original TV series with Basil Rathbone.....

As a fan of Dead Like Me, I'm not so sure @EmilieT - fan clamouring got us a movie for 'closure' - 'Desmond' played the new boss, Mandy Patinkin wasn't in it. HIs characters arc was never resolved. All of Bryan Fuller's inspired input had been ditched and George was only ever seen again in a cameo in Hannibal.

Ellen Muth now sells coffee and does the Hanibal convention circuit.

Closure for TV fans and regular posters here,  is a rare and precious thing.
