Actually, some of the top range Smartphones get used for payment in the canteen at work - so a fair point, @jonsie.

Mind you, the price of some of them is rapidly approaching the gold card price quoted in the article - more if you get the special edition models festooned with diamonds... Bling is king

I follow the same mantra, "If you've got it try and keep it". 

I can't begin to imagine how HRH Customs and Excise would deal with this being delivered to your home in the mail - the Mrs got almost 40% added to an electrical item she ordered from an Israeli source several years back!
