I made a decision a few years ago not to have another dog because the pain of losing one was too much to bear. RIP Poppy.

I had dogs until I was 61 years old. I couldn't bear the thought of a dog left alone if I was to die first. I can understand how a dog enriches life, total unconditional love and devotedness given while asking little in return.

Oh Kath @Poppysmum . I am so very sorry to hear about your tragic loss.
I felt I knew Poppy so very well, as you had lovely stories to tell us all about her.
I can feel your pain and grief and hope you will soon feel better.
She left you with so many wonderful memories and will never be forgotten.
Sending love and virtual hugs lovely lass
