Had heard that she was under observation by her Dr's yesterday, but was not expecting the news we got later.
Was hoping she would pull through so she could send herself a card for hitting 100, but it wasn't to be.
Thoughts are with all of her family, friends and everyone else. There will be a big adjustment to be made for everyone.
RIP.

King Charles's speech to the nation yesterday was simply beautiful. A walk around shaking hands with the public first. Then he gave his first address as King. Remembering, of course that this is a man who is grieving so much for his beloved Mama.

King Charles III - finally gets a shot, aged 73, at the job he's been rehearsing and practicing for over the last 50 years or so. Imagine waking up at that age and being told, all of a sudden, you'd been given a job...
As he said in his Accession speech: "I now dedicate what remains to me of my life" to this heavy task.
There'll be one hell of a birthday party on 14th November 2023 when he turns 75, I'd say!
And a note about the late Queen here, in a single picture:

Best part of yesterday was seeing William and Harry, with their wives, doing a walkabout, shaking hands with the crowds. Reading the notes left with flowers.
I do hope this means they can rebuild their friendship, though I doubt it will happen x

It is a great shame our Queen Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor was note able to see William and Harry with their wives together reading the cards on the many many flowers at Windsor. I too @Cleoriff doubt it will continue because of Meghan Markle's strong influence over her husband Harry

Yes @RunrigForever it was a lovely moment. I believe it was William who phoned Harry to do the walkabout.
Lovely to see.

Can you guys tell me why Anne is so kept out of everything?
That she isn't a heir - ok, old traditions/laws... But why isn't she one of the delegated representatives for Charles - even she is his oldest sibling AND has much more respect as Andrew ever will have?
