R.I.P Gerry. A real legend.
He was at the Civic Hall some years ago and Ray spent ages talking to him during the interval. A real smashing bloke he said.
He had so much surgery to his heart, it's a real tragedy that he died of an infection to it.
"You'll Never Walk Alone" Gerry.

Very sad news at the loss of a legend.
Memories of Gerry playing "Ferry Across The Mersey" in his home town of Liverpool.
His version of "You`ll Never Walk Alone" will always be remembered as the anthem of Liverpool FC.
R.I.P. Gerry. You`ll be missed

Sad news indeed. RIP
We seem to be losing so many from that era lately.

Lovely message from Paul McCartney though. The 60's was my era and I honestly never realised that Gerry and the Pacemakers shared a rivalry with the Beatles.
Mind you, so many 60's groups played at the Cavern......
