Just heard she's died of cancer aged 52.

Shocked beyond belief at this news. One of the funniest writers of TV comedy. She announced 2 years ago she had suffered with lung cancer but hearing nothing since I hoped she was recovering. She made me laugh and cry.

Fought cancer all her life apparently.
Both her and her brother were born with cancer of the retina.
