Lemmy Kilmister lead singer of Motorhead has died aged 70
He had a number of well publicised illnesses but his death was unexpected.
Edited to add.... apparently Lemmy discovered he had a particularly aggressive type of cancer just a few days ago http://consequenceofsound.net/2015/12/r-i-p-lemmy-kilmister-motorhead-frontman-dead-at-70/
R.I.P Lemmy.

He started off as a roadie to Jimi Hendrix.....then joined Hawkwind singing lead vocals on Silver Machine...he was sacked from Hawkwind in 1975...too much of a bad boy for them....

I remember trying to learn Ace of Spades on the bass and realising that there was a good reason he was where he was.
RIP indeed Lemmy

The Motorhead fans are trying their hardest to get Ace of Spades to be the first No 1. of 2016. From what I have read... it will involve downloading the track any time after 00.01am on New Years day....
My eldest saw them 6 months ago at Glastonbury and said they were absolutely brilliant....

Despite a wonderful effort to get Ace Of Spades to No 1 on the official UK chart...it only reached No 13. This was despite it being the No 1 music download on Amazon, 7Digital and Google Play over this last week
Never mind Lemmy...your fans did you proud....
