Following on from the sci-fi thread, this thread is for those one-series wonders. Not the obvious ones but the aim is to find one that you will may never have heard of. Or likely to again. Bonus points for a youtube video and wiki link.

To start, how many of you have heard of The Highwayman? It was shown late night as in 2am so had to set the video for it and usually followed the, er, very original, Hitman & her on ITV (youtube that if you're under 25 and compare & contrast to X-factor).

Just because youtube exists for this very reason of nostalgia:

Some of the cast were later more famous in Sci-fi series but the star of the show was Jacko, an Aussie rules footballer or something. Had a brief singing career too.

Great thread:)

When I was 13 I was obsessed with this program called Carnivàle I have never met anyone who knew of it. Such a wierd story but worth a watch. Unfortunately they stopped airing it on British TV within 6 episodes:(

Tales of the Gold Monkeys, yet another show by Donald P. Bellisario made in the early eighties had a 'Indiana Jones' feel to it.

Ha. I remember the Tales of the Gold Monkey (BBC1 at 7pm!) and is on my list of DVD boxsets I want. Sadly Amazon know this and what an extortionate amount of money for it.

Talking of flying planes, this one may be too obscure for everyone: Bailey's Bird. No wiki link so and this one even beats me for a Youtube clip but there's a tiny one here. Australian pilot running a shipping business in Malaysia. Lets just say that a family member wanted to see the scenery of the country rather than the plot!

Liquid - Carnivale is another one of those curiosities I must get round to seeing. I've found the boxset many times whilst in Canada but ran out of money to buy it.

When it gets to less than £20 I'll consider it or if someone gives me a voucher!

This might be a little to obvious.

Streethawk was part the super machines era with Nightrider and Airwolf. From memory it only lasted 10 epsidoes or so.
