As the World Cup is upon us, our second Off Topic poll is related to that.

The Belgian midfield is far too strong for England's and I can see them scoring again before half time.

Not quite...though they scored again in the 2nd half so Belgium 2 England 0....

So we came 4th.

Have to say that was probably the most boring 3rd place playoff I've seen in World Cups. Best comment from one of the commentators, Glen Hoddle I think said "Belgium are about 5 or 6 years ahead of us". Which kind of points out what on earth have the English FA been doing and how does a country of 11Million is way ahead of a country of 53Million with effectively unlimited resources for the game. Unfortunately, 4th place or not, England seemed to revert back to type in this game and thats a bad habit they need to get rid of in the next set of qualifications.

I honestly quite literally fell asleep just half time and woke up just as they were going into time added on. This was just like watching a friendly (which I rarely watch anyway). Belgium were light years ahead, not sure about 6 years. Don't be under any illusions either that we are the 4th best team in the world. Many the teams we have seen go out already would beat this England team. But this Tottenham side will hopefully get better but to be brutal, I know we will never be a world force again, even when I'm long gone.
