Hi all.

Encouraged by 2 fab community members to create this new topic. Hope you like.
Thought this could be a nice space to share some of the poems we have written and inspire each other with our creativity. Poems are a way for me to voice whats going on in my head especially when my anxiety has left me feeling somewhat foggy headed.

Hope you enjoy reading and sharing your work.

Pennywren 😊

The sky is blue
The sun is golden.
Essence of spring is truly here.
The earth is awake
And celebrating life.
Blossom bursts forth
New life begins.
Trees in bloom
As bird sing with joy.
Around each corner is something new
The possibilities are endless.
Once empty verges
Now a haven of life:
Wild flowers and butterflies
And buzzing bees to.
The air filled with a heady scent
And the gentle hum of life.
Celebrate each moment
It’s our gift for the day.
Spring is here and the days are growing
The sunshine lifts the soul.
Celebrate tiny victories,
Every baby step.
We can do this
We are stronger together
And never alone.
We can do this.
I believe in you.

Thank you @Cleoriff and @Mi-Amigo for your kind words. Lots of things influence my poems. My imagination is set on weird tonight because I saw a painting of a tree in purple blossom. This is my Imagination at its weird best ( or maybe worst?!)

The Home Tree

High in the purple tree
The silver owl sits.
Its gold eyes flash
As it watches all.
The pale moon glows
And shimmers and shines.
Moonbeams cast diamonds
Into the night.
High in the tree
Amongst the purple blossoms
A tiny white cat
Sleeps curled up in its nest,
Breathing softly,
A rhythm of life.
Tiny paws stretch,
Flex and move.
Tiny white cat dreams
Of rainbow fish
And golden birds.
In the roots of this tall home tree
A red fox awakes
Stretches and sighs.
Shaking away slumber
It looks to the sky
And watches the blue sky
Slowly shift to deep green.
Tiny white stars
Dance in the sky
As the home tree watches as life unfolds.
Here all can find
Sanctuary, a safe haven,
A home.
Never be lonely,
Lost or afraid,
For the home tree protects all.
High in the branches
The silver owl sits,
Surveying the land
A messenger of hope

Hi @Pennywren

Another lovely imaginative poem. yahoo

PS the tree you talk about is probably a Jacaranda.

We don't see many here as they don't withstand frost...but in the Spring they are everywhere in Spain.

Jacaranda Tree - Jacaranda mimosifolia - Viable Seeds - UK Stock - FREE P&P | eBay

Quite beautiful xx

woodland deer

The silence of the wood is vast
The trees stretch to the skies.
Trees huddled close together
Paths hidden from our eyes.
Only nature knows the paths inside
Her routes hidden to us.
Treetops lit up by golden sunlight
Casting deep shadows beneath.

Silhouetted against the sunset
A figure emerges from the trees.
The proud deer walks majestically
Each step certain and strong.
Dappled shadow moves across his flank
The flashing sun touches his antlers.
The breeze whispers through the trees
The gentle murmer calming.

The rich chestnut coat
Vibrant and glowing,
As the stag moves into sunlight.
Standing tall and standing proud
He protects his herd from harm.
Watchful eyes takes all in
And every movement counted.
Strong antlers rise above proud head,
To defend and protect his family.

He runs like the wind
To protect the fawns
The does all kept from harm.
Strong legs cover distance quickly.

Your honoured if you see his majestic sight
A blessing untold
The strength and wisdom
Of the deer
A secret best kept hidden:
Fleet of foot
Strong and proud
Deer are beautiful to behold.
