Hi all,

Do you follow Oscars at all and are you excited to see who/what wins?

The nominations are out and I'll include the list below! The actual awards show itself will be 26th February (hosted by Jimmy Kimmel). slight_smile

La La Land got 14 nominations which is the highest Oscar record so far! British nominees: Dev Patel, Naomie Harris and Andrew Garfield. Meryl Streep is now the most nominated performer in the history of the Oscars.

I got to watch Arrival yesterday and have to admit it was absolutley terrible, only really watched it as Forrest Whitaker was in it(and not really a lot in it)and was highly disapointed from end to finish.

Plus the fact I had to google "explain the ending of Arrival" etc,as it was all just a mish mash of nonsence to be quite honest.

Good to hear your thoughts @Anonymous. I still need to see it. What would you recommend from last year that you really enjoyed?

I loved how the cartoons look like the real life characters.

Every now and then the critics go mad over a film that makes many of us scratch our heads Astounded

They see things to admire where we can't, a bit like the intellectual people talking down to us about modern art and abstract paintings. People agree with the critics so as to show their own intellect. Lemmings and sheep led by a few visionaries....all poppyc*ck in my own intellectual opinion LOL
