I have seen people being dropped off at traffic lights near airport so they can walk there 😫
That's a good proposal for 101 @Mi-Amigo

I agree with the charges though have to admit we had that down to a fine art at Birmingham airport when I went to Spain alone.

£3.00 for 15 mins. In we went. Husband opened boot of car to get cases out. I went for trolley. Cases on trolley, ticket for parking purchased and he was gone from car park in 10 mins flat.

On landing, as soon as I touched down I would text him to say 'Landed'

He would leave home as soon as he got that text. (knowing that offloading, passport control and luggage collection, would give him the 30 mins needed to get to airport.)

I would phone him once I was outside airport and he would arrive within a minute to pick me up.. Cases loaded in car, ticket purchased and out we went. Like a military operation..rofl

Ah yes @Cleoriff
That was like a trapeze artist. Timed to the second nearly ...
The airport would not expect quite that dedication😫😁🤭
Most would be caught for a tidy sum.
Big on-cost for the business man self employed flying in and out weekly though not too bad for holiday maker who expects to be generally fleeced🤭😁😫 just a few times a year.

It always used to be free for 15 minutes until the car parking companies decided to penalise drivers who dropped off family. I agree that there is a big safety issue. I've dropped off family at random places and the number of travellers risking life and limb crossing dual carriageways and big roundabouts is an accident waiting to happen.

Yes it was free to drop off @jonsie
It worked well as I remember taking and fetching a family member weekly to catch a flight out and then back. Just drop off and just pick up. Every little thing is targeted to extract more money.

Thanks guys for all the suggestions.

I`ll compile the list and post it for votes on Friday this week [17 August] and then you`ll have a week to vote on which you want to go into Room 101 and which you don`t.

Any suggestions posted before this Friday will be added to the list.

Thanks again for the interest and for the lively but fun discussion over some of the suggestions.
