Headline : Samsung Electronics profit falls to lowest in three years.

Excerpt from the Link "Samsung Electronics has seen its quarterly operating profit fall to its lowest level in more than three years because of slowing smartphone sales."

"Samsung's mobile division, its biggest business, has been struggling to maintain its dominance against rivals such as Apple, which recently released the new iPhone 6."

My thoughts :

It's about time these Manufacturers stopped engaging each other in the Courts ,and got on with what they do best. These cases must sap silly amounts of capital from their businesses.

Think the issue is at the high end they are fighting Apple and high end is where they make the most cash.

At the lower end they are fighting a whole load of companies including the Chinese entrants who are putting out mid range smart phones at low end price points,.

So they are fighting two losing battles.

That plus their other electronics divisions struggling means something has to give at Samsung at some point. Shame.
