"Deal to combat piracy in UK with 'alerts' is imminent"

"BT, Sky, TalkTalk and Virgin Media will send "educational" letters to customers believed to be downloading illegally."

Not too sure how a letter will away such activities.

I know it will never happen, but if an on demand package/set top box was available that gives access to all released films and TV shows from all the different studios in HD + music, etc, then I would replace my virgin cable package with it, I would also be prepared to pay quite a bit more than what I am now for the convenience of everything being in one place.

Instead you have to manage many different accounts on various different devices paying full subscriptions just to access one show from each service.

If they can address the current overly fragmented market with fewer service providers each offering a wider range of content then more people would subscribe to them which in turn should reduce piracy.

This is only my opinion of course slight_smile

Something like Netflix is good however their content leaves a lot to be desired sometimes. After I left them, apparently they started getting better and more up-to-date content - typical.

Indubitably true. Samsung S21 Ultra and Xiaomi 14 Ultra
