Hi just looking for some ideas.

So I would like to customise a laptop without it costing too much.

Needs:

SSD
1920x1080 display at least
Dedicated GPU
16gb ram at least
Intel i5
Thunderbolt option

This will be getting used mainly fir multimedia stuff. Not bothered about Facebook, office apps and bloatware.

Anyway has anybody here customised their laptop or have they in the past? Just looking for possible tips or caveats.

With lap9it is far easier to buy the spec you need.
Customising isn't all that easy when it comes to processors and GPU's

So basically a 15" MacBook Pro, or even a 15" Surface Book 2

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

Had my PC built by them and the service is excellent.

They do customised laptops but as you'll be well aware, there isn't as much flexibility.

I looked at pcspecialist a while back. However with no real world experience or reviews on them it's hard to make a gamble on them. I need to do some research.
