I saw this on the news @Bambino.

At first I thought...oh I will be fine...I just shop for England and online...

Then I had another think......and remembered things I looked at to see if they were family friendly and could be uploaded to forums etc.....and though Nope...far too risque....LOL

Seriously ...I don't think I have anything to worry about....but if you don't see me around for a while you will all know why Fear

It was inevitable in today's troubled times and personally I think it's a vital part of our and our country's security. I like the part about local council being banned from obtaining such information.

I agree with that and of course the link does go on to say.

Critics will call this a snooper's charter - but security chiefs and police say they're not interested in your online shopping habits - only the habits of serious threats to society..

I am sure the public will be worried about this. Some will be concerned that the information could be open to data breaches..

Our privacy has been compromised so much anyway that for the majority of people this won't make a blind bit of difference. It's an unfortunate state of the world, but as @jonsie said in his comment, it's necessary.

Anyone following me on Facebook will see that today we've been to the Erawan Shrine in Bangkok, the scene the bombing recently. Surveillance cameras everywhere and police checking bags around and inside the shrine. Totally necessary but so sad.

They say lightening never strikes twice....I wasn't worried at all but Mauy did her prayers and couldn't get out of there fast enough.

To add..one of my favourite holiday places was Tunisia. It was magical when we went in the 80's. Clean beaches... lovely hotel and staff were  courteous and trustworthy. It was our first time abroad. I doubt I would want to return now....
