We have Apple and Google teaming up with a proposed new app and now the government has given the go ahead for their own tracking app.

I'm not sure this will be a good thing with all the hoaxers and scammers out there not to mention our right to privacy.

I don't agree with it.

To me it's similar to putting a black cross on your door during the days of the plague.

It will generate fear and isolation.

What purpose will it serve?

I for one will be steering well away from this if it happens. Neither app will be of benefit and just allows the government or Apple/Google to hold even more information about us.

Yeah, I took a look at this app a few days ago... 

Wonder if that's doing the same thing?

I think the stats will be slewed anyway. They have said they aren't testing those who have died in care homes or rough sleepers, so the figure of 10,000+ yesterday, could be well above the actual number of those who died from Covid 19.

Just read that @gmarkj and confirms what I said (along with many others) Truly frightening.

We will never get true stats.

In fact the news has this minute, just stated 10,000 patients in UK HOSPITALS. Says it all really.
