MTU issue? Sky TV and 4G router.

Hi all,

So I've been having an ongoing problem connecting my Sky+ HD box to my TP-Link MR200 4G router. The box will connect but will not download anything...

I have been through the mill with sky and tp-link and it now appears that it may be an issue with the initial "packet size" and the o2 network itself.

To test this, I swapped out my o2 SIM for an EE one and without making any additional changes I connected the sky box... it immediately connected and downloaded!

So it now seems it is an o2 issue after all.

Could anyone please advise?

Cheers.

It's been reported before.
O2 don't allow it due to the volume of data that would be consumed.

Well they have a fair use policy and my tariff is capped anyway so that's a cop out by them isn't it...
