That looks amazing @Bambino, I can't imagine how much work went into preparing this! Do you see any crazy decorations like that around where you are??

To be honest, I didn't mind the little kids all dressed the part, arriving with Mum or Dad.

However a couple of years back, I had a two teenage boys knock on the door wearing Michael Myers Masks.

I had forgotten it was Halloween, I was in on my own, and I just slammed the door and locked it.

Frightened the life out of me, (and I'm not usually a scaredy cat) scream

@Bambino

Likewise but I'm with @Cleoriff  on the whole trick or treating thing.

It's hall lights out and ignoring the door buzzer tonight, there's no little kids round here now anyway.

Few years ago it got really bad. So the police visited all the junior schools in the area to say don't disturb people. If doors went answered eggs and flour were thrown about. Local shops then stopped selling those type of things to youngsters .
Since that effort by schools and police it didn't happen again. It was terrible for people living on own in fear, it's not supposed to be like that. The parents are organising children's parties and having fun at home now and that's what it should be, not terrorising people in their homes.
Enjoy yourself but be considerate not make it an excuse for bad behaviour.
Personally I don't like the event.
