No sorry you cant email them.....you can however borrow someone elses phone or a landline and call them on the numbers given in this link

http://www.o2.co.uk/help/phones-and-devices/lost-or-stolen-device#qs

http://service.o2.co.uk/IQ/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?New,Kb=Companion,question=ref%28User%29:str%28Mobile%29,CASE=54558

You need to inform the police whilst you are abroad...it helps to have a crime reference if claiming on insurance

Also you could contact live chat but they are closed now. The numbers in the link I gave are open 24 hrs a day

Further edit: I have just found an online form you can complete wink

Lost or stolen device

If your phone has been lost or stolen, we're available 24 hours a day to help. We can block your phone and sim and send you a new sim with your existing number once we've spoken to you.

If you're a Pay Monthly customer, call us on:
+44 344 809 0202 if you're abroad.

If you're a Pay & Go customer you'll need to call:
 +44 344 809 0222 if you're abroad.

If you have phone insurance, we'll also help you make a claim and replace your mobile.

Making a claim

If you're making an insurance claim, we'll transfer you directly to O2 Insure, who will process your claim. You'll also need at least one of the following:

  1. A crime reference number from the police.
  2. A loss reference number from the police or a relevant authority (e.g. Transport for London).
  3. The name of the police station where you reported your phone lost/stolen, and the name and badge number of the officer you spoke to.

Contacting us

Once you have this info, you can get in touch straight away using Live Chat, or on the numbers above.

If you're not sure about any techy terms, check out our jargon buster

Stay on the line after the messages.
