Um, as you guys may know, i am a huge fan of the band Avenged Sevenfold. The drummer passed away on dec 28 2009. and its his birthday today. He inspired me so much as a musician because he had pushed the boat out creatively as well as musically. He was full of life, and always brought his best to the band, which i admired immensely, tracks such as Beast and the Harlot, Critical Acclaim are insane... i couldnt choose just one to recommend. He did vocals on A Little Piece of Heaven, Brompton Cocktail, Critical Acclaim, Lost, Scream, Afterlife, Flash Of The Blade ( iron maiden cover) the list is huge...
They came in a point of my life when i needed them. and through Jimmy i learnt that it was ok to be a freak to push the boundaries, and to be a drummer ( it was still very much frowned on )
So i raise my glass to this guy, and wish him a happy birthday, wherever he ended up
