Happy Mushroom Day! Care to share your recipe?

Anonymous

I kid you not! Today is national mushroom day! And to celebrate such important ephemeride in our calendars I wanted  to ask you if you have a favourite recipe that involves the exclusive use of these delicious fungi. What is your personal favourite. A soup, a stew. None? Ah!

Personally I love a Spanish variety of mushroom that is called Saffron milk cap and it's delicious with roasted garlic and parsley or on a bbq grill.

I also found this recipe which looks mmmmm delicious!!

So, guys, have you tried many varieties? would you care to share?

I enjoy the home-made mushroom soup at Taste delicatessen & cafe in town

Also Hetties cheese / bacon / mushroom omelette (I personally request mushrooms in place of tomato, as they are too acid for me)

Open one tin of creamed mushrooms & heat in pan on stove ... real butter on some toast from an uncut loaf ... marry up, serve & eat with a smile on your face slight_smile

I don't cook anymore because Cooking for One is No Fun slight_frown

I love mushrooms, and I'm a big fun of truffles. Although this only happens on very special occasions. A trick I do for this to happen more often is to cook with truffle oil. Drool

Here a very easy recipe to make one of my favourite dishes: http://www.seletsucre.com/parmesan-mushroom-pasta-with-truffle-oil/
