I watched this every week on tv. This was the inspiration originally for itv’s Rainbow

Always hated it. Especially when ITV decided that the entire summer morning TV was going to be just Seasame Street (er way back in the late 70's/early 80's) instead of cartoons. So we just went out and did something less boring instead

I was a bit old for it personally and have no kids but my god children loved it when they visited, so I suffered it.

Anyway, Happy Birthday Sesame Street, you've made loads of children happy.
