Hey everyone,

Another photo thread! This time around the images were taken by the winners or the Galapagos photography competition which were selected from shots of both scenery and wildlife on the Galapagos islands, made famous due to their role in helping Charles Darwin form his theory of evolution.

You can see a few pictures below and the rest can be viewed here My personal favorites have to be the lizards or the shot of the trees. How about you guys? Anything really stand out for you?

The bird in flight and the surf against the rocks are fantastic. Then all the photographs are brilliant. The Galapagos Islands are a photographers' dream if nothing else. Thanks @Martin-O2 made my day.

I love the bird frozen in flight and the sky through the trees. Trees seem to have character and many of the photos I take both here and in Thailand are views through various types of trees and bushes.
Obviously the climate and weather conditions make for brilliant photos (certainly not talking about my photos) but many beautiful pictures in less favourable conditions can be seen in every magazine and exhibitions.
I particularly like those taken in a snowy environment preferably with wildlife the subject.

I love photos of nature and wildlife but am partial to any which includes water - the sea, ocean even a river and mountains. And like @jonsie love wildlife photos taken in a snowy environment - so majestic.

They did a fantastic job slight_smile The patience needed to get some of these is impressive. They have to wait around for a long time to get the perfect shot!
